Jeff, attached, are some photos of my Jeep with the spare bumper installed. My jeep is lifted 3.5 inches so the gas tank is more exposed than normal. You may have a marketing angle for Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee owners as the trucks' poor design has a plastic gas tank hanging down between the bumper and the axle. The design is being reviewed by the NHTSA for a potential recall to millions of jeeps because of potential for puncture and explosion in an accident. I decided not to wait for a recall and installed your product to protect from rear-end collision and under riders.  Thanks for a great product.  Chris Durren

Jeff, I put safety reflective tape on my bumper and have found that drivers (especially young driver) are trying to figure out what is protruding beyond my bumper and increase the distance behind me.  I have also had young race drivers speed up behind me to ride my bumper and then realize I have a protective devise installed and then they back off or go around.  I do feel less afraid of other driver’s poor driving skills knowing that I have a little extra protection on my vehicle.  Norm Weigel

Hi Jeff I really like the bumper. In fact, within a month or so of mounting it on my Jeep Liberty CRD, it was put into service. I was stopped at a traffic light (first in line) and a guy was doing something else behind me and bumped into my rear end. No damage to anyone, he was all apologies, but - and you know the Liberties - serious damage likely would have resulted to MY car. For sure, the spare tire would have been hit, likely crunching the rear door that it's mounted on, and probably hitting the plastic "bumper" Chrysler puts on it. Hello Jeff, Thanks for writing!  The Superbumper is working out well.  Today, around 1:00 pm a domestic sedan vehicle around the size of a Ford Taurus hit the Superbumper at about 10 MPH or so, dead on.    There was a slight jolt in the cabin, and the vehicle's front bumper was wedged about 6" or so underneath the Superbumper.  No police report was filed because it only left scratches!  Please see attached photo of the Superbumper on a 2012 Toyota Tundra double cab 4x4 BEFORE the accident.  Thanks, Marc Nabors, Birmingham, AL

Hi Jeff - The bumper arrived yesterday with our first big snowstorm of the season.  I installed it today and am impressed with its design.  For your information standard type bars that fit into the receiver hitch here in Canada are around $100 plus 15% tax here in Ontario.  I was going to buy one just before I discovered your website.  Yours with the shipping, currency exchange and duty was $167.00.  Having a crash tested functional hitch bar that would limit damage to the rear of the vehicle and occupants inside due to its shock absorbing function for a minor difference in price is a great value indeed.  Vincent Csunyoscka

Hi Jeff, Just wanted to let you know I unfortunately got to test my Superbumper.  I drive a Tahoe and got rear ended by a driver in a Silverado not paying attention doing about 15-20 mph.  My truck suffered damage but could have been SO MUCH WORSE.  The Superbumper took the initial hit and didn't bend or snap.  It suffered some nice scratches and cuts into the metal but stayed true.   So I wanted to say thank you for saving my rear!  Peter Moreland - Budd Lake, NJ...P.S.  Due to this though, my Dad plans on getting one for his new Envoy to protect it.

Hi Jeff - Yesterday somebody rear ended me while I was stopped.  No damage to the (Honda) Ridgeline, but the Superbumper is ruined.  I certainly would have had significant damage to the rear bumper otherwise.  I'd say she was going at least 10 mph because there were no sounds of last minute braking and she told me that she was "watching the rain in the distance."  In reality, I would not be surprised if she was pushing 20 mph.  Thanks for sending me a new Superbumper.  Dan 

Jeff, I previously purchased a Bumper Shield for my 2008 Yukon.  Last winter, I had to stop abruptly on an icy freeway and the guy behind me was not able to stop.  End result:  One tiny scratch on my Bumper Shield while his vehicle had to be towed away with damage to both fenders, hood, radiator, and bumper.  Your product worked just as advertised and saved me a lot of time and expense.  That is why I am purchasing a Superbumper for my Nissan Xterra.  Feel free to use my comment on your web site.  You make a great product.  Regards, Brian Knight, Tolland, CT
